Rev. Garth McKearney was born in Halifax on June 3,1953.
Graduated from UPEI in 1975 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Received a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from St. Paul's University, Ottawa in 1998.
Received a Masters of Divinity from the University of Toronto in 1998
Father Garth was ordained to the priesthood on June 4,1998.
He was appointed to associate pastor of St. Paul's Parish , Summerside, P.E.I. in June 1998 and was there until June 2001.
On June 28,2001 he was appointed pastor of St. Augustine's Parish, South Rustico, P.E.I.and Administrator of St. Mary's of the People, Hunter River, P.E.I.

In the spring of 2004 we were saddened to be informed that Father Garth was terminally ill and on August 24^th, 2004 he passed away.
